The Mountaineer is a free, on-demand shuttle servicing Palisades Tahoe. (Winter Weekends Only)

The Mountaineer will transport you on weekends from your location in Alpine Meadows to wherever you want to go within Alpine Meadows. 

1. Download the app (click this via your smartphone) on iTunes Store or Google Play Store.

2. Request a ride using the app. 

The vans are 4WD, dog-friendly and they seat up to nine passengers. They also come equipped with ski & snowboard racks. One van is ADA-accessible. 

Four Reasons to Use Mountaineer During Winter

• It's free. 

• No need to worry about parking.

• Don’t want to drive in the snow? Planning to have drinks with dinner? Leave the driving to the winter pros.

• It's good for the environment. Shared rides mean fewer vehicles on the road.
